Media Director

About the Role

The primary mission and role of the Media Director is to:

The Media Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of media production
and digital content within the church. This includes but is not limited to, live streaming services, social media
management, video production, website updates, and managing the church’s visual presence both online and in-person. The ideal candidate will have a heart for ministry, creativity, and a passion for using media to share the gospel and foster community engagement.

The Media Director’s primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
● Audio/Visual Management: Oversee sound, lighting, and visual equipment during worship services,
special events, and ministry programs.
● Live Streaming: Coordinate the live-streaming of church services, ensuring high-quality video and audio
for online worship experiences.
● Content Creation: Plan and produce video and multimedia content for worship services, church events,
announcements, and sermon highlights.
● Social Media Management: Develop, execute, and manage the church’s social media strategy across
platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and others.
● Brand Consistency: Ensure all digital media aligns with the church’s mission, values, and brand voice.
● Engagement: Monitor social media interaction, respond to messages, and engage with the congregation
through digital platforms.
● Website Management: Oversee and update the church’s website content regularly to ensure it is current,
informative, and user-friendly.
● Online Sermon Archive: Manage sermon videos, podcasts, and blogs on the church website, ensuring easy access for congregants and visitors.
● SEO: Work to improve the church website’s search engine optimization (SEO) to increase online visibility.
● Media Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for all media-related tasks, including
camera operators, sound engineers, and social media assistants.
● Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with worship, creative, and communications teams to
support church events, services, and outreach initiatives.
● Event Coverage: Capture and document church events, including conferences, outreach activities, and
community events, through photography and video.
● Media Support: Provide technical support for ministry teams, helping them utilize media tools for their
events and initiatives.
● Physical Presence: Attend all scheduled FABC and properly notified Non-FABC services and events
prepared to provide Media services (for example but not limited to: rehearsals, recordings, funerals)

Knowledge, Skills Abilities, and Personal Characteristics:
● Spiritual Commitment: A desire to develop a strong understanding of the Senior Pastor’s vision, a passion
for ministry, and a heart for serving the local church.
● Experience: Proven experience in media production, live streaming, video editing, social media
management, and technical A/V operations.
● Technical Skills: Proficient in media software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, ProPresenter, OBS
Studio, Restream.io), and experience with sound/lighting equipment.
● Creative Vision: Ability to think creatively, offering fresh ideas for digital content and worship service
enhancement.
● Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead a team and work
collaboratively with other church staff.
● Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced
environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
● Degree or certifications in Media, Communications, Film Production, or a related field.
● Familiarity with church worship culture and the ability to adapt to different worship styles.
● Experience with website management tools and email marketing platforms.
● Knowledge of live event production and broadcast.

Additional Requirements:
● Requires flexibility, including some evenings and weekends for events and services.
● Primarily onsite at the church, with remote work for digital content creation.
● The ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Salary: $30,000 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
